Superyacht Interiors New Zealand Limited (SINZ)

Superyacht Interiors New Zealand Limited is proud to announce that the company has been successful in winning the following two high profile projects:

MANHATTAN DUPLEX

The 2 story apartment is undergoing a full make-over for a client that is a superyacht owner. Patrick Knowles Designs (PKD), who designed the interior for the owner’s yacht, was asked to reproduce the same high standards in the renovation of the apartment.

SINZ has worked with PKD on three motor yachts, their recommendation on SINZ quality, collaboration, ability to deliver on time and competitiveness was instrumental in the owner’s team making the decision to award SINZ the project.

The apartment is on the 59^th/60^th floor of a luxury high rise in Manhattan.

The project, which commenced in early April for SINZ, apart from being high profile, adds a significant and synergistic revenue base to the company at a time when the superyacht market is somewhat soft with substantial over capacity – and the resultant consequences.

The project will see SINZ undertake modelling /design of construction drawings and manufacture in NZ and installation of the interior on site in Manhattan.

MIRABELLA V (M5) REFIT

The refit of Mirabella V – to be renamed M5 – is being undertaken by Pendennis Plus (PSY) at Falmouth in UK. SINZ was invited by PSY to submit a bid for the interiors scope involving the upper deck and exterior / loose furniture for the project. The company was successful in winning the bid against competition from USA, Europe and within UK.  SINZ will design, manufacture and install the interiors for PSY.

The two companies have worked together before. SINZ completed the design, manufacture and installation of the interiors scope on AKALAM for PSY.

The M5 V refit, certainly from an interiors perspective, commands performance against a fairly tight timelines. However, both the companies are comfortable that the degree of planning, level of collaboration and the expertise on either side will again deliver a successful project.

AIR NZ CARGO EXPORT NZ AUCKLAND AWARDS

The company is one of the three finalists in the BDO Deal of the Year category of the awards.
The winner will be announced at a Gala Dinner to be hosted in Auckland on 22 June 2012.
